Pie in the Sky

Jingwen, his younger brother Yanghao, and their mother have recently immigrated to Australia after their father’s death in a car accident. Jingwen struggles with English and making friends at school, while missing the baking he once shared with his father. With Yanghao, he secretly recreates cakes they made together, one each evening while their mother works. Their baking is tied to their father’s dream of opening a bakery called Pie in the Sky.
