Pardalita

Told through graphic illustrations, this coming-of-age story follows sixteen-year-old Raquel in a small town in Portugal. Raquel develops a crush on her classmate Pardalita while entering a new peer community. As her feelings deepen, she also becomes more aware of herself and begins to navigate increasing independence. The narrative explores Raquel’s changing relationships, self-awareness, and the experience of first romantic feelings.
