Isaac Itkin is a lonely twelve-year-old living with OCD, and intrusive thoughts make ordinary tasks, including studying and looking in the mirror, difficult. His mother insists on strict therapy, but it does not seem to help. When friends invite Isaac to an after-school role-playing game, he finds community and some relief from the thoughts. Conflict follows when his therapist warns about games, his grades fall, and his mother stops him from playing.
