Papa Put a Man on the Moon

Marthanne and her father look over their mill village while the moon shines above them. Marthanne hopes people will someday walk on the moon and understands that her father’s factory work contributes to that goal. He weaves fabric used as a layer in astronauts’ spacesuits, though he sees himself as simply earning a living. Marthanne recognizes his work as part of the space mission and feels proud of it.
