Otherwise Known as Possum

After her mother dies, LizBetty “Possum” Porter must leave homeschooling behind and attend school. Convinced that she already knows everything her mother taught her, Possum tries to prove it, but the effort does not go as planned. At school, her fierce devotion to her mother’s lessons is tested by truths she did not expect. Possum’s new teacher also develops an interest in her father, further complicating a period of loss and change for the family.
