On Our Way with Mr. Jay

Mr. Jay drives a school bus through town as the clock runs toward the opening bell. His route takes him through the country, up a hill, and into the city as he collects children for school. Along the way, he handles a succession of unexpected problems: settling upset stomachs, cleaning pony poo, repairing a diorama, avoiding a stampede, calming a dog that boards the bus, and confronting swans. The story follows his effort to deliver everyone to school on time.
