My Fate According to the Butterfly

Sab hopes to celebrate her eleventh birthday with her family at the resort run by her father and his partner outside Manila. Troubled by a black butterfly she sees as a sign of her death, she joins her best friend Pepper in investigating why her sister, Ate Nadine, has long been estranged from their father. Their search through Manila reveals Nadine’s efforts to expose drug dealing at her college and the violent tactics used against drug abuse.
