My Book of Birds

This album introduces 50 birds found in North America, from hummingbirds to eagles, owls, puffins, ravens, and chickadees. Geraldo Valério pairs brief, conversational accounts of each bird with colorful collage portraits that include elements of their surroundings. The artwork uses recycled magazine paper and gift wrap. Endpapers show eggs and feathers, with a note that they are not shown at their actual sizes. A glossary, index, and sources for further information complete the book.
