Muzoon

In this memoir, fourteen-year-old Muzoon and her family flee Syria. Told to take only essential belongings, she packs her schoolbooks. The book recounts her life in Syria, her family’s difficult decision to leave home, and the disruption of living in a refugee camp. As a Syrian refugee, Muzoon uses her voice to advocate for education, which she sees as important both for her own future and for helping her country.
