LET’S GO! / HAW ÊKWA!

A young Cree boy watches a skateboarder from his window and becomes eager to ride. His mother gives him her old skateboard, and he practices on sidewalks, at the park, and in Auntie’s yard. He falls, gets back up, and watches other riders before eventually becoming an experienced skater himself. Later, he and other young riders sit with a newcomer until she is ready to begin.
