Just Breathe

Jamie Turner, a quiet sophomore recovering from depression, volunteers at a hospital. There she meets David Scheinman, the popular president of his senior class, who has been admitted while living with cystic fibrosis. Jamie has no friends, and David’s public role contrasts with the private challenges both young people face. Their connection grows from the possibility that they may understand each other in ways no one else does, bringing friendship and honesty into the hospital setting.
