I Know What You Do When I Go to School

A young narrator imagines that her mother spends the school day eating chocolate cake, watching movies, and enjoying herself. Her mother’s actual work is very different: she is a pediatric oncologist caring for children with cancer. Created by Siona Talekar when she was seven and later revised with new illustrations and storytelling, the book contrasts a child’s imagined version of a parent’s day with reality.
