Henry, Like Always

Henry, an autistic student in Classroom Ten, depends on the familiar pattern shown on the class calendar. When Mrs. Tanaka replaces Friday Share Time with a parade, the altered week unsettles him. He makes a Share Time poster during art, dislikes the sound of his tambourine in music, and leaves the rescheduled Share Time with a stomachache. On parade day, Henry and Samuel exchange instruments and headwear so that each can take part more comfortably.
