After a rainy morning leaves Mousse with few shells and no companions at the beach, he heads south for a vacation. He invites his friend Barnacle, and together they enjoy sand, swimming, a mud bath, and other holiday pleasures. Their trip changes when Felix joins them. Mousse feels jealous as Barnacle befriends the newcomer, and a conflict follows when Felix laughs at Mousse’s nickname. Later, Mousse and Felix connect over their shared interest in collecting seashells.
