Growing Up Trans: In Our Own Words

Trans youth aged eleven to eighteen contribute stories, essays, artwork, and poetry to this collection. Across varied literary forms and art media, they address self-care, dysphoria, transphobia, acceptance, and issues at school. Their work presents their own experiences of being young and transgender. A glossary and additional resources accompany the contributions. The book brings together identity, school experiences, creative expression, and questions of acceptance.
