Good Night, Bat! Good Morning, Squirrel!
Paul Meisel
After losing his home, Bat finds a leafy nest in a tree and settles in while Squirrel is asleep. When she wakes, Squirrel is upset by her unexpected roommate and writes notes telling him to leave. Bat misunderstands the messages, assuming they concern the bugs he has placed on the bed, and moves them instead. Their written exchanges lead to more mix-ups until Squirrel comes to value Bat’s cheerfulness and both agree to share the nest.
