Fred Korematsu Speaks Up (Fighting for Justice series)

Fred Korematsu enjoyed radio music, tennis, and time with friends before the United States entered war with Japan in 1941. The government then compelled people of Japanese ancestry on the West Coast to leave their homes for distant incarceration camps, including Korematsu and his family. He refused to go and fought discrimination in pursuit of justice for himself and other Japanese Americans. Told in verse, the book also includes illustrations, photographs, sources, a bibliography, and additional back matter.
