Madeline is close to her family, so her older brother’s engagement comes as a shock when he shares it without warning them. Unenthusiastic about his fiancée, Katie, Madeline decides to build a relationship with her and agrees to serve as a bridesmaid. During a late-night truth-or-dare game, she admits she has never kissed or dated anyone, prompting the other bridesmaids to help seek a wedding plus-one.
