Except Antarctica
Todd Sturgell
An off-page narrator begins with a claim that turtles live on every continent except Antarctica. One turtle puts on a warm hat and sets out to disprove it, arguing with the narrator along the way. The turtle is joined by a mouse, frog, owl, snake, bee, and dung beetle. At the ocean, they stack on the turtle’s shell to cross the water, reach Antarctica, meet confused penguins, and then head back because of the cold.
