Daughter of Doom

In Denmark in 870 AD, Yrsa lives in the Viking village of Mimir’s Stool. Born with a crooked foot, she is also said to see the fates woven by the Norns. When raiders bring home Sister Job, a young Belgian nun held for ransom, the two girls initially clash over their beliefs. After they defend themselves against a villager’s assault, Yrsa and Job flee by sea from the village’s warriors and the gods’ anger.
