Dactyl Hill Squad

In an alternate 1863 New York, dinosaurs move through city streets while the Civil War continues in the South, where armies ride raptors. Magdalys Roca and friends from the Colored Orphan Asylum are away on a trip when the Draft Riots begin. After several orphans are taken by magistrate Richard Riker, Magdalys and her companions escape to Brooklyn. They settle in Dactyl Hill, an independent community established by Black and brown New Yorkers beyond Manhattan’s dangers.
