Copyboy

Now working as a newspaper copyboy, Victor Vollmer sets out to fulfill the last request of Mr. Spiro, an older neighbor who became his friend and mentor. Mr. Spiro wanted his ashes scattered at the mouth of the Mississippi River, so Victor begins the journey to keep that promise. The trip proves difficult and brings Victor into a threatening, unfamiliar world. When his confidence and abilities are tested, he turns to a girl named Philomene for help.
