Cooking Up Change
Michael Platt
Cooking Up Change pairs twelve recipes with a year of Black American history. Each month features a milestone event and a notable person connected to it, along with a celebratory recipe inspired by the occasion. The book includes short biographies, a glossary, and resources. The stories and recipes draw inspiration from the author’s grandmother and her role in helping him explore Black heritage and develop an interest in cooking.
