Confessions from the Principal’s Kid

Fifth-grader Allie West feels like an outsider during school because other students assume the principal’s daughter might report them to her mother. After school, however, she knows the building well, is friendly with the janitor, and spends time with the Afters, a group whose parents teach there. Allie values that insider life but wants to feel ordinary and decides to try joining the Pentagon, a popular math team led by her former best friend.
