With a year of high school remaining, seventeen-year-old Cliff Sparks is focused on finding a girlfriend and figuring out adulthood. He falls for new classmate Jillian but can only admire her from a distance. Cliff must also consider what comes after graduation, especially because his unemployed father may force him out when he turns eighteen. The final months of school bring a new romance, future plans, and his father’s abusive behavior into view.
