Chaos Theory

Shelbi is a talented student with bipolar depression who has withdrawn from classmates after being hurt at a previous school. Andy is grieving, struggling with alcohol, and dealing with the aftermath of a crash caused by drunk driving. An accidental message begins contact between the two Black teenagers, and later meetings turn their friendship romantic. Their relationship raises questions about grief, recovery, boundaries, public attention, and supporting someone without taking responsibility for their mental health.
