Blooming at the Texas Sunrise Motel

After her parents die, twelve-year-old Stevie is sent to live with Winston, the grandfather from whom she has been estranged, at his rundown motel. Stevie struggles to form a connection with him, though the motel’s tenants and nearby neighbors welcome her. With them, she plans a flower garden to bring color and life to the property. The project proceeds despite Winston’s opposition, while Stevie also confronts the secret he is keeping.
