Beasts

Unknown predatory creatures have caused society to collapse, leaving power gone, highways abandoned, and survivors hiding. Thirteen-year-old Abdi travels with his feverish five-year-old sister, Alva, after a beast kills their mother. The siblings search for supplies and head toward the remote island where their father is working. Along the way, they shelter in abandoned places, encounter strangers, and must decide whom they can trust while trying to survive and reunite their family.
