Be Not Far from Me

Seventeen-year-old Ashley feels more at ease beneath trees than under a roof. While hiking in the Smokies with friends for a night of partying, she discovers her boyfriend with another girl. Angry and drunk, Ashley runs into the darkness and falls into a ravine. She then survives for weeks in the wilderness, relying on resourcefulness, courage, and stubbornness. Her experience leads her to confront respect for herself, the natural world, and human connections.
