Built around a translation of a papyrus from Egypt’s Middle Kingdom, this book tells of a teenage boy who lived nearly four thousand years ago. The translation presents a view of daily life in ancient Egypt. Photographs of artifacts and reproductions of artwork appear alongside the account. These historical materials connect the boy’s story with surviving objects and images from the period.
