Ash’s Cabin

Ash, a 15-year-old nonbinary outlier, chooses to live by themself in their grandfather’s isolated cabin with their dog, Chase. The attempt at living alone is harder than Ash expects. Ash has long felt alone, and adults’ failure to address the climate crisis is part of the book’s context. Earth-toned watercolor illustrations accompany the story.
