Averil Offline

Twelve-year-old coder Averil lives under the watch of Ruby Slippers, an app her mother uses to monitor where she goes, whom she texts, and even her lunch. Worried that the technology will become still more intrusive, Averil questions how she can grow up without making and learning from mistakes. She joins Max, a new student with similarly overbearing parents, as they push back against the surveillance shaping their lives.
