Ashlords

Within an empire ruled by the Ashlords, three elite riders from clashing cultures compete in the Races, a multi-day contest on phoenix horses. The Ashlords were given the horses by their gods and once used them in battle and hunts; the competition later became a sporting spectacle. The riders use alchemy, while the Ashlords’ tyranny and dominance of the races make the stakes high for competitors seeking to be crowned champion.
