An Assassin’s Guide to Love & Treason

In 1601, Lady Katherine learns that her father, killed for practicing Catholicism illegally, had also been involved in a plan against Queen Elizabeth I. Disguising herself as a boy, she travels to London intending to carry the plan further. She is cast in a new Shakespeare play that will be performed before the queen. Yet the production is part of Toby Ellis’s operation to expose and defeat the rebellion. Toby, a young spy for the queen, and Katherine are assigned the leading roles and become drawn to each other.
