American Girls

Fifteen-year-old Anna, overwhelmed by a difficult year that includes new stepparents, a baby brother, and a new school, uses her stepmother’s credit card to fly to Los Angeles and stay with her older half-sister, Delia. While Delia pursues auditions, Anna spends time with Delia’s boyfriend and researches Charles Manson for a film. The research, the Manson murders, and Anna’s fears for Delia sharpen her questions about vulnerable young women and the pressures surrounding them.
