Sixteen-year-old Connor’s family is shaken after his grandmother leaves his father a letter revealing that the man who raised him was not his biological father. With only a class ring and pilot’s wings as clues, Connor researches his family history while trying to help his severely depressed father. His search indicates that his biological grandfather may have been a Tuskegee Airman during World War II. Told in verse, the novel follows a family reconsidering its history and identity.
