Along the Tapajós

Along the Tapajós follows Cauã and Inaê, a brother and sister living in a small community beside Brazil’s Tapajós River. Each rainy season, flooding forces the siblings to leave their riverbank home. When they return, they race to rescue their pet tortoise. Boldly colored scenes depict their home and the seasonal flooding, while back matter adds information beyond the story. The book places a family adventure within the river landscape of the Amazon.
