Worser

Twelve-year-old William Wyatt Orser, known as Worser, is introverted, socially awkward, and absorbed by words. Schoolmates bully him, and his mother’s stroke overturns his life; afterward, she cannot speak. As he adjusts to these changes, Will connects with fellow linguists who help him find ways to navigate a different everyday world. The novel follows his effort to establish a new normal after his family’s crisis.
