Without Refuge

Thirteen-year-old Ghalib lives in a Kurdish Syrian town under continued bombing. He longs for ordinary parts of life: spending time with friends at the market, supporting his soccer team, and attending school. Instead, he and his family undertake a frightening journey out of their country as civil war continues around them. The story follows a family displaced by conflict and Ghalib’s wish to regain a familiar daily life.
