We Are All Made of Molecules alternates the accounts of Stewart and Ashley after their parents move in together. Stewart and his father move into the home Ashley shares with her mother, bringing the two fourteen-year-olds’ worlds together. Stewart is described as brilliant and nerdy, while Ashley is popular with everyone except her teachers. Their alternating tales focus on their new family, which is expressly not a Brady Bunch family.
