Sixteen-year-old Aza lives with depression and OCD while trying to be a good daughter, friend, student, and perhaps a detective. Her thoughts feel increasingly constricting as she and others pursue a missing billionaire in hopes of a reward and try to reach his son, Davis. Aza’s friendships are important to her, and she receives support from her mother and therapist. The novel connects a missing-person investigation with Aza’s ongoing mental-health struggles and relationships.
