Gil, a seventeen-year-old Black teenager from Brooklyn, starts his senior year at a nearly all-white Manhattan prep school. A racist incident on his first day leads to his suspension. Struggling to find a place in the school, Gil becomes involved in a fight and develops a plan for revenge.
