Today Another Kind of Hurricane

Hurricane Katrina destroys ten-year-old Zavion’s home, forcing him and his father to leave for Baton Rouge. In northern Vermont, another ten-year-old, Henry, loses his best friend Wayne in an accident. Henry later goes to New Orleans to assist hurricane-relief efforts and look for a marble that had been in donated jeans. A lucky marble connects the two boys’ experiences of loss.
