Fatima and Galo join their father, Big Ali, on his minibus journey along the Bobo Road. As he drives, they load luggage and collect passengers with an assortment of belongings, including bicycles, rice sacks, melons, goats, and chickens. The route passes Gurunsi houses, a lake with hippos, waterfalls, and jungle before reaching Bobo. The trip also invites counting the many items carried on the bus.
