The Whispers

Eleven-year-old Riley believes the Whispers are magical creatures in the woods that grant wishes when given tributes. He wants relief from school bullies, hopes that Dylan returns his feelings, and wishes to stop wetting the bed. Most urgently, Riley wants his mother to return after she vanished months earlier. Fearing her disappearance may be tied to seeing him kiss a boy, Riley cannot remember what happened. He and his friend Gary take a camping trip to seek the creatures and ask for help finding her.
