The Warden’s Daughter

Cammie O’Reilly lives in an apartment above a prison run by her father, the warden, in the summer of 1959. She spends time around women inmates, including people described as reformed, while her unusual home life affects her friendships at school. Cammie is also trying to understand the loss of her mother, who died when Cammie was a baby. Hoping for a maternal connection, she looks for a mother figure among the prison’s inmates.
