A fancy red fox presents a show about the supposedly secret lives of couches, complete with charts and dramatic claims about sofas. A sharply dressed opossum interrupts, accusing the fox of bending the truth and covering the charts with black tape. Their argument soon takes over the presentation as they dispute what couches are really like. Despite their disagreement, the fox and opossum eventually share one conclusion: couches enjoy eating coins. The story imagines ordinary furniture as the subject of an animal-hosted debate.
