The Summer I Remembered Everything

Emily Chen-Sanchez takes a summer job as companion to Mrs. Granucci, an elderly Southern woman, to get space from a tense home life. Emily is dealing with conflict with her older sister, distance from her best friend, and her mother's thyroid-cancer diagnosis. Her work involves helping Mrs. Granucci remember everyday details, and the two grow close. As Mrs. Granucci's memory and judgment problems become clearer, she falsely accuses Emily, putting their friendship under strain.
