The Spy in the Museum: How Rose Valland Saved Art from the Nazis

During World War II, Rose Valland remains at the Jeu de Paume after the Nazis turn the French museum into a holding place for stolen art. Overlooked by the occupiers, she uses her knowledge of German to listen and record which works are taken, where they are sent, and by what train. She later works with the French Resistance to locate a trainload of art moved from the museum.
