The Ripple Effect

At the end of sixth grade, Marzella, also called Zella, wants to uphold the class prank tradition and preserve her reputation as the class clown. When her prank fails, the class is punished and the principal offers her another chance. That do-over develops into a community-service project involving the whole town. Told in alternating chapters by Zella, her two best friends, a school sleuth, and the town of Kettleby, the story follows a failed prank toward kindness and redemption.
